For example, inflation has persisted all along and the level of pollution in big cities continues to be high. Cleaning of Ganga remains a distant dream despite huge spending by the government. India’s growth which is projected to slow to 6.6% in 2016-17 fiscal due to the strains that have emerged in the economy as a result of temporary disruptions caused by demonetization, is another matter of concern.

He has contributed more than hundred papers in reputed journals, being published in India and abroad. Dr. Gupta has also worked as an Economist in private as well as in public sector. His last assignment was as Economic Advisor to the Modi Enterprises.
