The proposed book explains various aspects and methods of research. The subject matter is divided into 12 chapters, each dealing with pertinent requirements of research. Chapter 1 is an introduction to research, while chapter 2 describes various variables and their use in social research. Formulation of a research problem has been explained in chapter 3, and hypothesis and research questions have been taken up in chapter 4. Professor S.K. Pant has been associated with Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute, Allahabad which is a deemed Institute of Allahabad Central University for over three decades. He has been teaching two full courses on Quantitative Techniques and Research Methods to MBA and M. Phil. students. He has so far published five books on different social issues and published over 50 research articles in national and international journals.
